The services I offer are:
General research. I research the genealogy of your family. After interviewing you to obtain basic information about the family line, I locate relevant information in census records, birth records, marriage records, naturalization records, passenger lists, military records, land records, old newspaper articles, and other available sources. I provide you with copies of all the relevant genealogical records I have located, along with a brief report on my research.
North Carolina research. I live close to the State Archives of North Carolina. If your family has roots in North Carolina, I would be happy to search for records for you at the State Archives or at locations elsewhere in the central part of the state.
Writing services. Using my over 20 years of experience writing for publications, I create a fully polished family history narrative based on research that you or others have done. In writing the family history narrative, I weave together genealogical information, family photos, maps, and some historical perspective about the time and place where your ancestors lived. The final product is a publication-quality written narrative (or a short book). Samples available upon request.
Editing services. If you have written your own family history, I can edit it for you.
